ERRA Tennis Team
Eagle Ridge has compiled an impressive record over the past thirty plus years with twenty-three straight Inter Club Championships; a record that may never be broken in InterClub play. The teams have been successful for many reasons including our high quality programming and instruction, coaching that promotes a fun environment, friendly competition and sportsmanship, and players who are committed to improving their skill level.
Team Program
The Tennis Team program provides the opportunity for Green and Yellow ball players to play in a more competitive environment with players from our club and as part of an InterClub league with other Southtowns clubs. Divisions are grouped by age: 10 and Under (Green Ball), 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16.
The program emphasizes equal play opportunity and rotation for all team members. Players can expect to play a minimum of 2 regular season InterClub matches and compete in both the ERRA Club Championships and the InterClub Championships. The program includes tennis team practices and/or match play with our team on days when no InterClub matches are scheduled. Players are included in a club challenge ladder which helps to promote and increase match play within our club and allow coaches to make line-up decisions as needed.
The team practices and plays matches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons (with a modified schedule for Week 1)
We encourage enrollment in both Group Tennis Lessons and Tennis Team to ensure an optimal balance of skill development and match / competitive play.
Red, Orange and Green Ball Match Play are geared towards Level 1, 2 and 3 players to play points and matches in a fun, non-elimination, and non-competitive environment that does not compete with other clubs. Green ball parents – please discuss best fit for your child – match play, Tennis Team or both.
Fees
Tennis Team is $90 per child (includes all practices, matches and team photos/ pizza).

Week 1 Organized Match Play – Friday June 21st.
13-14 and 15-16 yrs of age...................4:00 AM - 4:45 AM
10 & under and 11-12 yrs of age.........4:45 PM - 5:30 PM
Week 1 Team Practices - Monday, June 17th / Wednesday, June, 19th / Friday, June 21st.
13-14 and 15-16 yrs of age...................5:30 PM - 6:15 PM
10 & under................................................6:15 PM - 7:00 PM
11-12yrs of age.........................................7:00 PM - 7:45 PM
Regular Practice begins Monday, June 24th and is held Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
10 & Under..............................................12:00 PM - 12:45 PM
11-12 yrs of age.......................................12:45 PM - 1:30 PM
13-14 and 15-16 yrs of age................. 1:30 PM - 2:15 PM

The InterClub league schedule can be found on the "Tennis Team Match Schedule" page.
When viewing the match schedule - the first team indicated will host the younger players (10 & under and 11-12) at home, the second team will host the older players (13-14, 15-16). Parents are responsible to provide transportation to and from matches.
You will be notified for each match your child is playing.
If there are any changes on the schedules you will be notified.

Volunteers
Tennis Team parents are needed to help during tennis team matches and tennis events - includes food/set-up for home matches, carnival set up and preparation, banquet, club championships food, InterClub championships food, etc.
Each Tennis Team family must signup for 2 jobs/ slots during the season. You can signup using the "Sign-Up Forms" tab above on the main menu. We appreciate your help and can't do it without you!
